"BUILDING TRUTH INTO THE LIVES OF CHILDREN"
A 52 week Children’s Church Adventure!
It is so important for children to know what they believe, why they believe, and how to share that belief with others. This curriculum is about equipping kids for life; it is about building faith foundation line upon line, week after week…in ways that kids enjoy!
Some of what kids will learn in the iBELIEVE curriculum:
- - To find their way around the Bible
- - How to lead someone to Jesus using Scripture
- - How to talk and listen to God
- - How to obey and have self-control
- - What to do when they are afraid or in trouble
- - 52 Memory Raps and Verses
The teaching materials are in PDF format AND Word (so they can be tweaked and apated to your setting).
Each lesson includes:
- - Song MP3s and PowerPoints
- - Memory verses and raps with video guides
- - Creative Teachings (easy/fun/dynamic skits, object lessons and creative sermons; plus some video clip links)
- - Large Group Leader Guide
- - Small Group Leader Guide - including an interactive lesson review and a themed snack and craft, game or activity
- - A Team Email - so your team knows the main scriptures and heart of the upcoming lesson
- - Weekly PowerPoint
- - Take Home Pages
The iBELIEVE curriculum is structured in four 13 week units, some consisting of four or six week modules that can be purchased individually. Every unit includes at least one Party/Review Sunday. All lessons are available as digital downloads and consist of both Word and PDF files for the Lesson Outlines, Creative Teachings and Colouring Pages. Each lesson contains a PowerPoint and Memory Verse video actions; snack ideas and crafts that follow the lesson theme; and song MP3s and PowerPoints. Memorization is a main factor in this curriculum and weekly review is crucial. Video guides are provided for all the raps and verses.
The curriculum presently sells for just $10/week Canadian; $8.00/week US.
iBelieve Structure
A 52 week Children’s Church Adventure!
The curriculum is structured in four 13 week units, some consisting of four or six week modules that can be purchased individually.
Every unit includes at least one Party/Review Sunday - which is also a great opportunity for the children to present their songs and verses to the congregation!
Children from Kindergarten through Grade 4 will enjoy the materials. Preschoolers might join in for the singing and memorization and then go to their own class for a simplified lesson and craft. For older children, we suggest involving them - welcoming at the door, helping to lead the singing, verses, creative teachings etc; then giving them their own space for the Small Group time.
The curriculum is written in a Large Group/Small Group format with a 75 minute time frame. Some churches find there is too much content and choose to spread each lesson over two weeks.
All lessons are available as digital downloads (both PDF and Word files so leaders can tweak the lessons) and each lesson includes:
40 Minute Large Group
- - Large Group leader guide - with the suggested order and transitions
- - Singing and worship (with song MP3s and PowerPoints)
- - Memory verses and raps (Memorization is a main factor in this curriculum and weekly review is crucial. Video guides are provided for all the raps and verses.)
- - Creative Teachings (Easy/fun/dynamic skits, object lessons and creative sermons; plus some video clip links)
- - Response time
- - Take Home Pages
35 Minute Small Group - "Word-Prayer-Connect"
WORD
The Bible is our Manual for LIFE and kids need to know how to use it! You will need plenty of copies (enough to share between 2-3 kids) of an easy-to understand version. (Suggestion - perhaps a business leader in your church would be interested in covering this cost. What a great investment!)
PRAYER
Each Small group outline includes a suggested prayer that applies to that day’s teaching; some include a prayer activity. Kids grow in confidence in praying out loud; and each child is prayed for, by name, every week.
CONNECT
Each Small Group time includes a themed snack and craft; and often a game or activity. Kids are encouraged to build friendships and include any newcomers each week.
